Upscale venue opens with 9 national artists in May

SouthFloridaSunrise.com Staff report

April 24--JAZZIZ Nightlife – the upscale jazz club - opens its doors at Mizner Park in Boca Raton on May 1 with Molly Ringwold performing as the first of its weekly concerts by national recording artists. Nine upcoming shows in May include vocalist Nicole Henry, Gibson guitarist Larry Carlton, and legendary flutist Nestor Torres.

The club is the brainchild of Michael Fagien, who's had a 30-year run since he founded JAZZIZ magazine, and grew it into the world’s largest-circulation jazz magazine. Fueled by his passion for jazz, Fagien has since sponsored music festivals, formed and sold the i.e. music record label to Universal, and even published cookbooks bundled with music CD's. He also opened his first restaurant concept at the Seminole Paradise in Hollywood, but left the venue following the sale by the original developer.
