May 15-- The Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce together with the Boynton Beach and Boca Raton Chambers of Commerce South Palm Beach County Chamber Partnership is hosting a Business Expo.

The Expo will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at the Marriott Delray Beach, 10 North Ocean Boulevard.

May 16--On May 18th at 7:30 pm, Chicago based cellist, singer and composer Ian Maksin returns to the Arts Garage. Having performed with such artists as Sting and Andrea Bocelli, he takes the concept of cello well beyond its regular scope. Besides classical works, Maksin's eclectic repertoire includes his own original compositions, as well as arrangements of music by Sting, Clapton, Morriccone and much more.

At the Arts Garage, he will offer a unique program encompassing classical, Latin, jazz and world music. He will be joined by a celebrated South Florida singer Susana Behar.

Concert at Delray's Arts Garage Sunday, June 3

May 16-The South Florida Symphony will perform chamber music in the intimate setting of The Arts Garage in Delray Beach on Sunday, June 3 to recognize the contributions of gay composers during Pride Month.

The evening program will present Tchaikovsky's String Quartet No. 1 in D Major, Opus 11 and Samuel Barber's String Quartet in B, Opus 1. Tickets are $25, and include both a pre-concert reception beginning at 7 pm and a post-concert musicians reception with desserts by Adina's Cakery following the concert.
