Runoff in November for District seat
Runoff in November for District seat
Boca Beach & Park Commissioner still undecided
SouthFloridaSunrise.com Staff report
August 15--While most of the primary partisan and non-partisan races swung in favor of the favorites to set up contests in the November election, the race for the open seat at the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District primary ended with a winner still unknown.
Since none of the three candidates achieved a 50%+ majority, the November election will be a runoff between the two top vote getters: Steven Engel and Tom Thayer. That contest will decide who takes office for District Seat 5.
