Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie

March 28--Opening on March 16 to a sold-out house, the production launched The Theatre at Arts Garage. A musical play that celebrates the American spirit, it revels in the American folk music tradition, and honors the American character in tough economic times. 2012 is the 100th birthday of Woody Guthrie, America's most revered 20th Century folk singer.

Woody Sez is an award-winning musical celebration of our country's courage in the face of the Great Depression, a theme that will strike a chord in our hearts and minds as we recover from the economic challenges of today.

"The piece focuses on Guthrie's music and the stories he told of the Depression, knowing that those stories will resonate today with the economic downturn we're all facing," Lou Tyrrell, Artistic Director of The Theatre at Arts Garage says.

Through April 8, Wednesday - Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 6 PM and Sundays at 2 PM; Tickets are $25 - $35 

Located in the heart of Delray Beach, at 180 NE First Street in Pineapple Grove.
